Stop Whining!

By
Harry Felker

The shame that should be felt by this article is directed at the readers, I say this because it is the one truth to be held self-evident. All I hear around me from a massive majority is not much more than the prattle of school kids, it is not beyond expectation, but by now it is high time it stopped. I do not point the finger at anyone specific for the problems in our country, I need over 200 million to do that, it is all America’s fault, and it is time to take responsibility. We, as Americans, sat wringing our collective hands for far too long, looking after what selfish desires of our own can be afforded with the public purse. Americans cried, “Woe Is Me,” the badge of the victim mentality, and expected compensation for their displeasure, or at least their perception of such. All are to blame, from the “Obama Save Us” to the “Don’t blame me I voted for ______,” The charge is irresponsibility and inaction, the verdict is guilty, and there is no need for the jury to deliberate. The sentence is a slap on the wrist (so long as the federal government can keep up their charade) for you all, but the sins of the father are carried by the son, future generations inherit slavery and famine for the crimes committed today. Looking into the future one might consider the horrible thought that it may be wiser to never have children, to spare them the suffering.

The Cult of B.H. Obama

Since he is the man of the hour, so to speak, he and his cult-esque followers come first on my list, have no fear, I will get to you all in time, and you all are equally culpable. I specifically cannot blame Obama for any of this, he is a politician and a communist, he is the symptom of the disease, but not the disease itself. This is not to say I like Obama, I do in fact believe he is evil to his very core, rather this explains that he has a part in this game that he is playing, and doing just what is expected from him. His followers, yes I am specifically using cult terms in this, on the other hand, free themselves of all thought and responsibility in the name of Obama. They expect their ‘cure all messiah’ to magically fix all the world’s ills, and in complacent American standard, they feel they did their part, they elected him, and feel they can sit back and let him do his magic. This is not rational, this is not reasonable and this is quite frankly insane, the responsibility of the citizen does not end at the polls, no matter how long you stood to wait to vote. I hold less contempt for those that do now get off their couch and do something to effect the changes they believe in, but not much as their changes are wholly unconstitutional in nature. For the most part these people, as well as many Americans, could not tell you what the constitution really is, this is the true depth of their complacency, they are truly clay, ready to be molded to whatever the one that stands as a leader desires. They despise the statement on their character, but when one cannot use any other term, we must out these people for what they truly are, they are cultist sheep. Much like in the Nuremberg proceedings, they figure that even if Obama blows up in their faces, they can claim innocence by following orders, it did not work then, and I will assure you it will not work now.
But I voted for….

If it were only that simple, that your responsibility ends at the voting booth, and your candidate did not make it, then it is not your fault, you use this to blame on your inaction, that if your candidate did not make it, you are not allowed to do anything. There is no excuse for this mentality, it is not reason, it is complacency, it is the acceptance of horror solely because the person you support did not get elected, so therefore you are “powerless”. This is either, at its root, the result of the stupification (yes I made this word up for this article) of the people or the complete lack in patriotism; neither is excusable, or justifiable. If it was only the stupification, then the responsibility is on the parents, who abandon their responsibility, and the government that we allowed to dictate the classroom curriculum. More the case it is a complete lack of patriotism, they wave their flags and say “God Bless America”, but are seemingly ignorant that they actually have to do something to be a patriot. These people need to be reminded, “The Duty of EVERY PATRIOT is to protect his country from its government” as per Thomas Paine, I believe he is a quality barometer of patriotism. Waving your flags does not stop the destruction of our country people, blaming your perceived political adversaries, your political allies inability to gain office nor does saying “God Bless America”, it is only action that can achieve this end. It does not have to be violent, it can be as easy as taking a genuine interest in your local government, petitioning for legislation you believe in, electing capable, motivated legislators, or running yourself. You may claim “This is inconvenient”, you bet, but the fact is if you want to have freedom, it is not free, and this is what the phrase actually means, that you will be inconvenienced in order to remain free. If you are looking for convenience it is at the end of the chains of slavery or at the end of a soup line, there you can petition for special treatment depending on how well you can lick your master’s boot.

The End Result…
I will remind you that as long as we remain a country that is free (ish), you are free to ignore me, remain complacent and hope that you made the right move, and if you did, good for you, but if you did not, too bad for you. You can pray to your demagogue idol, or your particular invisible man in the sky, or blame it all on the fact that your candidate did not win, all you are doing is pissing in the wind. Or you can get off your collective Asses, get involved, and do something to preserve the freedom in this country, we the people are the ultimate authority in this country, it is beyond time we acted like it and stop whining. Mohandas Gandhi once said, “Be the change you believe in”, he was brave enough to face off against impossible odds to effect the independence of India, are you willing to pry your ass off the couch to ensure your children live in a free country?
